Home & Emotions

2021-2022 ~ Design Consultant & Product Designer

  • Lullaai had recently managed to position itself as one of the best apps to measure and assist baby sleep. The problem with this proposal was that the main objective was to help parents live better. Lullaai wanted to collaborate with me to start moving the app into an ecosystem of wellness-oriented apps.

  • Lullaai had many ideas in its backlog to start improving the lives of parents. After several sessions, we saw that tracking parents emotions (app users) at critical points in the experience would return essential information about the father/mother-son/daughter relationship. Working on emotions gave rise to the opportunity to prepare both parents and children for the different stages of a baby's sleep.

Home architecture

After conducting the opportunity analysis as a team, it was clear that we had to include how parents were feeling in specific moments while interacting with the baby. But first, we had to redefine entry points to fit "emotions" entry points in context. We didn’t want to rely just on the menu under the tab “progress”.

Emotions flow

We had clarity on the opportunity and how to discover this new feature, but we, had to be careful about how and when we should introduce the question to maintain an agile perception of the task.

The goal: compare the data on how the baby responds to lullaai's method with the data on the emotional state that the parents have during the experience. This way parents can have a better view of how their states affect the baby's sleep and take action based on it.
